Adopt a reptile at The Serpentarium!

Whether you're looking for your first reptile and want to save money or are interested in offering your home to a needing reptile, The Serpentarium usually always has a few animals available that could use permanent loving homes. We commonly have Ball Pythons, Red-tailed Boas and Turtles available with low adoption fees as well as various Geckos and Lizards from time to time.

Need a new home for your reptile?

The Serpentarium accepts most reptile donations. If you can no longer keep your pet reptile, for whatever reason, feel free to bring him/her in and we'll provide them with the best care possible, ultimately matching them up with a perfect permanent home through our Adoption Program. In some cases, we'll adopt your pet ourselves and make him/her a Museum attraction!

Available Adoptions:

Bearded Dragons - We have 2 available; one male juvenile and one female adult. The best beginner pet lizard, hands down. These two are both very handleable and ready for a permanent home.

Red Tail Boas - We have 2 available; both males, adults. Great beginner reptiles for someone wlooking for a larger sized snake. Both are tame and easily handleable.

Red-eared Slider Turtles - We have 3 available; one male and two females, all adults. They were brought in separately after being found roaming the streets. If you've got a pond in your backyard they make great additions! They're able to live outside year round in our California weather.

Savannah Monitors - We have 2 available; juveniles, unsure of genders. One was brought in after being found in a field. The other was a surrender from a mom whos son went away to college. They're both non-aggressive but don't seem to like being handled. With a little bit of work they can be tamed down. Definitely one of the best beginner monitor species.
